So, I'm sitting here in my room and, instead of being at Mirror Lake dying of hypothermia, I am writing a blog. Battlestar Galactica in class today wasn't too bad. I didn't like it as much as I liked the first time we watched it, mainly because I was so tired and kept almost falling asleep. It was pretty exciting for when I was awake, and the way that we found out all the people who were actually Cylons at the end was really well done in my opinion. We saw all the stories come together and fit into the main story arc, which I thought was very cool. I also really like the way they turned Earth into a sort of myth, and it becomes something that relates to real life. It lets us think that the Battlestar Galactica ship is going to show up any minute, in completion of their long journey to find our legendary colony. It was a cool addition to the story.
I really think the episode could have been a lot shorter, a lot of it seemed drawn out and it had long standstills at times. At least now if I ever hear someone talking about Battlestar Galactica, I'll have some basis to interact with them. I might, but probably won't, watch it again with a friend or something, especially if we feel a need to totally nerd out, which we can all use every once in a while. I'll see you guys when we get back from break!
Matthew
I didn't jump into mirror lake this year either. One time last year was enough.
